History of BCS

BCS Worldwide as a spiritual kingdom emanated through the dictates of the Holy Spirit. BCS stands for Brotherhood of the Cross and Star and its secondary name is Christ’s Universal Spiritual School of Practical Christianity.

Everything done in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is unified under the directives of the Holy Spirit. In Brotherhood there is only one Leader and supernatural teacher. He is the Holy Spirit, the Triune God personified in Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, The Sole Spiritual Head of the universe.

To ensure uniformity in the Brotherhood fold as directed by the Holy Spirit, a comprehensive Handbook exists for the guidance and adherence of brethren in the fold. This document is a compilation of the direct instructions and directives of the Holy Father and as such, this is the official book of procedures and guidelines for the Brotherhood world.

BCS motto is LoveFaith and Hope. Under the umbrella of the BCS motto and as a charitable organization, we promote, advance and propagate the teachings of the Holy Spirit. Love encompasses and unifies all creation of God. Love is blind to race, gender, religious affiliations or beliefs. This explains why the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ are used to promote unity, understanding, truth, trust and faith in the ability to be better human beings throughout the entire human race.

Love decrees that we feed, clothe and give drink to our enemies. BCS has no enemies and therefore embraces the world. This is why BCS is Christ’s Universal Spiritual School of Practical Christianity. Charity begins at home. BCS involves and affiliates itself with any organization, locally and internationally, dedicated to the healing and eradication of poverty of the mind, body and spirit.

Through faith and hope, we have Faith that the special grace of our Lord Jesus Christ enables us alleviate the suffering and distress of our neighbours; while Hope empowers the belief that the love BCS disseminates will teach and empower others to do same: Loving one another, regardless of creed, colour, differences or disagreements.

Under the umbrella of love, only one commandment exists and is immutable: to love each other as Christ himself loved us (John 13: 34). Christ loved and died for sinners. Following in his footsteps, If we love those that have offended or have been evil to us: we won’t hate, discriminate, be uncompassionate, indifferent to others; judge, steal, cheat, lie, fornicate, commit adultery, covet, be greedy, be intolerant, impatient, and angry.

God and Trinity
Leader Olumba Olumba Obu presents God as the Father of all creation (Malachi 2:10), whose love, power and authority for forgiveness is for all men. He addresses God as the “Father” and teaches that all men should always address God as such. He presents God as the Supreme Being, the uncaused cause of all that exists, the architect and designer of everything animate and inanimate.

He reveals that God is a living person, not merely an idea, a myth or a figment of the imagination. He is real a being. This is emphasized in the scriptures which indicate and states that every physical being is made up of water, blood and spirit (1st John 5: 5 – 8). He teaches that owing to God’s omnipresence, he is not limited to a single presence, but can be manifested as a being and yet be present in every human being and all creation simultaneously. (John 4:20-24; Luke 17:20-21) When God manifests on the terrestrial plane, He appears as human being. He came as Christ and was born of a woman. In the celestial plane He is Spirit, as denoted in 1 John 5: 5 – 8.

John 1: 1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1: 10 – 11 – He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.

John 1: 14 – And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only Begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

This understanding is best illustrated by gold. It can be made into different things – jewellery (earrings, rings) or utensils. Whatever it is molded into does not change its constitution being gold.

The Kingdom of God
Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, propagates the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ that the kingdom of God is the rule of God over man spiritually rather than politically. Rather than preaching that the kingdom “is at hand”, He teaches that the kingdom is established in fulfilment of the prophecy and vision of the Apocalyptic See (Daniel 2:44; Revelation 11:15).

BCS is the nucleus of the kingdom established as the Lord’s school of righteousness in fulfilment of Isaiah’s prophecy (Isaiah 2:2-4). It is Christ Universal Spiritual School of Practical Christianity. The qualification for entry is perfection precipitated by abstinence from sin. The laws are summarised in Mark 12:29-31.
