Our Mission

• To advance Christian religion by spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all parts of the world. (John 20:21). "Then said Jesus to them again, peace be unto you as my Father hath sent Me even so send I you".
• To carry-out Practical Christianity. Healing the sick, helping the poor, and relieving the distressed and to follow the footprints of our Lord Jesus Christ not only preaching the gospel but by practicing same.
• To establish Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities as the need arise and shall be conducted in accordance with the relevant Education policies of the Government concerned.
• To love one another (Matthew 22:37-40) "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou, shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets".

Our Doctrine

Everything done in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is ONE. Certain questions have been raised as regards certain procedures and practices in various stations in the fold.

There is only ONE Leader and Teacher in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS). He is the Holy Spirit, the Triune God, personified in Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, The Sole Spiritual Head. Whatever is done in the Brotherhood fold in all planes of creation should be as we see Him do or as He directs or teaches. We must not imagine procedures and practices that are not in accordance with His divine instructions and directives.

To ensure uniformity and remove doubts from the minds of brethren, the Holy Spirit directed that a comprehensive Handbook be written for the guidance and adherence of brethren in the fold. This document is a compilation of the direct instructions and directives of the Holy Father and as such the official book of procedures and guidelines for the Brotherhood world.

Some of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu's Teachings

About Himself

Once asked by a journalist who He really is, He said, "I am neither God nor prophet, nor church leader, nor angel, nor Christ. I am that I am". To emphasise this position, He published a book titled I Am not God but Olumba Olumba Obu. His adherents call Him God; His immediate society places Him variously. While some call Him a wonderful man, others call Him vampire or ekpinoi (king of Beelzebub). To others it is still unclear who He is but suspicions are rife that He holds the world's hidden agenda.

God and Trinity

Leader Olumba Olumba Obu presents God as the Father of all creation (Malachi 2:10), whose love, power and authority for forgiveness is for all men. He addresses God as the "Father" and teaches that all men should always address Him as such. He presents God as the Supreme Being, the uncaused cause of all that exists, the architect and designer of everything animate and inanimate.

He reveals that God is a living person, not merely an idea, a myth or a figment of imagination, but that He is real a being. One can only see the physical being made up of water, blood and spirit (1st John 5:6-8). He teaches the divine omnipresence that God is a spirit, in a sense which excludes the idea of His physical presence or favour being limited to a particular shrine (John 4:20-24; Luke 17:20-21). When God manifests on the terrestrial plane, He appears as human being. In celestial plane He is a Spirit being.

His teachings on the triune God is probably best illustrated with a lump of gold made into different items like ring, necklace or earring where shapes, sizes and nomenclatures of the items do not alter the gold element.

Our Lord Jesus Christ

Since the commencement of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu's ministry, He does not bear record of Himself but testifies about Our Lord Jesus Christ. All His references are made to the Father and Our Lord Jesus Christ. He attaches importance to the Lordship of the Christ and insist that He should be addressed, not just as Jesus but as "Our Lord Jesus Christ", partly because Jesus is a common Jewish name (Acts 13:6). Leader Olumba Olumba Obu glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ (1st Corinthians 12:3).

The Kingdom of God

He agrees with our Lord Jesus Christ that the kingdom of God is the rule of God over man spiritually rather than politically. Rather than preaching that the kingdom "is at hand", He teaches that the kingdom is established in fulfilment of the prophecy and vision of the Apocalyptic Seer (Daniel 2:44; Revelation 11:15). BCS is the nucleus of the kingdom established as the Lord's school of righteousness in fulfilment of Isaiah's prophecy (Isaiah 2:2-4). It is Christ Universal Spiritual School of Practical Christianity. The qualification for entry is perfection precipitated by abstinence from sin. The laws are summarised in Mark 12:29-31.
